Its wonderful finding a site like this, and i am happy to hear people talk good about Nigeria because,95% hate hearing about Nigeria, thanks and keep it up and let those that have no idea about Nigeria know that Nigeria are not the way they see it from outside, its better to go inside and see,and also find out about what they saw outside compare to what is inside.

Hi, I am a black american, engaged to a Ibo man. I visted Nigerian for several weeks and i respect and agree with your statements and views of the country and people. I have never seen such happy people even in their suffering. I was told not to travel there but I did and it was the greatest most humbling experience of my life. I made life long friends!! My husband (i say husband because in Nigeria if a man and his family accept you and love you they call you 'their wife' and means that there will be a marriage in the near future) I love Nigeria and admire Nigerians, they are proud people. God Bless them and shelter the poor from suffering there. My husband's family are very well off and live a good life, I travelled about with a police escort and a private driver but the next time I would like to experience even if only a few hours the daily hassles of a native Nigerian! because what you don't experience, you can't judge. and what you don't feel, you can't express truly. As an american living many years in Europe we miss so much of God's greatest gifts (because we dont appreciate the small things that cost nothing) and for me one of those were see the rich ground that our Black people over their walk on. the soil is gold, rich in elements. You have to see it to believe it. For a women who is involved with a Nigerian man there are so important things to know. 1)he demands respect, that does not mean he controls you, it means that you have to find the way to communicate with your him so that he can understand your feelings. 2) His family are even more important then he is to your life, they will protect you and care for you when he is not around, understand them because they are the ones who will teach you the culture and traditions of the village, family and extended family. 3) dont try to be equal because its not the case, enjoy who you are as a woman, he will adore you and love you unconditional. Most african men are very clear about what they like about a woman, but he does not ask you, ask him - Ibo man love to look at their woman, they are proud because in Nigeria the man picks his woman and thats the reason he will expect much from you. 4) learn how to cook, every Ibo man loves to eat his own food so the famous phrase, 'a way to a mans heart is through his stomach' is so damn true. 5) because Nigerians are happy people, they look for this in your personality. always put your best foot in the front and smile, speak with respect, greet others the way you want to be greeted. and finally, above themselves, they believe and trust in God, so always give God thanks.

Hallo,
Gruss

Sehr lustig!

This was very informative. My husband may be descended from the Ibo tribe, and this could explain his love of pawpaw trees and family traditions. Thank you!

I like your website and I think what you put up there is objective to a large extent. I think the whole message is captured in the concluding remarks. I hope you make more trips to Nigeria. There are 250 tribes in Nigeria (three major) and you have so far been to the village of only one (major) tribe.
i love your site it is really really interesting and a balanced view of my country

hi
